Stormy’s days get hazier all the time. Is it age? She really hasn’t been the same since her batteries ran out. Then again, maybe it’s her drinking. She’s the team’s de facto cheerleader but lately she’s been spending more time guzzling spirits than lifting them.
Is it because she so closely resembles a fashion doll but has none of a doll’s status?
Maybe the strongest drink Stormy’s sipping isn’t a cocktail, but a tempest in a teacup.
The Slime of His Life
If there’s a heart of this group, it’s Slith. Not only was he born in a poor, war-torn world, he was also saddled with a severe speech impediment. He’s had a lifetime of taunting and bullying, but has managed to come through it with his heart and his humanity in tact.
But what about when Slith’s true origins are revealed?
Maybe then it’s his inhumanity that will float to the surface.
Running on Empty
While all of the action figures are relatively battered—yeah, why is that?—Hole has more miles on him than the rest. But underneath that aging, beaten plastic shell is a mind that’s still young. Because inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.
That person inside Hole is getting more depressed about that every day. And what is depression but anger turned inward?
Sometimes there’s a whole different way to find fulfillment than one once thought.
Missionary Position
Onward stands up for what he believes in. Which means he often stands against what others believe in. He’s not going to take their sinful nature lying down. So he spends a lot of time on his knees.
Quite a contortionist act he puts himself through.
But how hard is it to believe in Jesus when you’re God’s golden boy? After all, it’s easy to whistle while you work when you have a good job. What happens when things turn from job to Job?
Surely nothing could cause Onward to slide. Could it?
The Womanchurian Candidate
The action figures found Amazonia wandering out of the jungle one day and she had a turbulent tale.
She and her husband, in the jungle all alone, were suddenly attacked by an indigenous tribe. And the husband was killed, leaving Amazonia the only surviving spouse. And the body of the husband was never found.
But are any of us really who we say we are?
The Weight Is Over
Stevie’s deceased husband, their marriage a conundrum everyone has a hard time fathoming. Was there an ulterior motive for this mismatched union?
