“A roller coaster of a memoir”

What People are Saying

Kelsey

I finally picked it up a couple of days ago, thinking I would read bits and pieces of it when I had time – essays are easy to break up that way, right? Ha! I read it almost straight through in 2 days, staying up far later than I should, and stopping to share bits and pieces with my husband, laughing about how so much of it felt like us. I was sad when it was over. It is honest and hilarious and heart-breaking. I identified with far too much of it.

This book had me on an emotional roller coaster from laughing hysterically to crying as if somone died. Thank you for waking me up and recognizing my distinct personalities for the different facets of my life!

The beginning of the book moves amazingly fast and is rather satisfying to read. Short chapters that are interesting, shocking, funny, and relatable tick away in what looks to be an autobiographical romp. Be careful, though, The Last Alias draws you in. recommend this book to anyone who likes to be entertained but be prepared for the full rollercoaster of emotions.

This first-time author tells his very singular story through multiple, captivating tales. This is a book that beautifully showcases the many voices and styles over which he demonstrates command, all the while making each story ring true as hell. And while he nails this balance of style and personal truth-telling with the deftness of a high wire artist, he also manages to entertain, captivate, and sometimes even horrify us with every turn of a page. You will think about this book again and again long after you have finished it.

What a ride! This original, engaging memoir keeps you laughing, gasping, pondering, sometimes crying, and always turning pages.

Rozie Curtis

A gutwrenchingly, honest portrayal of discovery! At one minute you’re laughing and then the next covered in tears. He is a master of words and story telling. It is a completely engaging book that you can both lose AND discover yourself in! The book is classic Ste7en Foster- irreverent, humorous, honest, engaging and powerful! I loved it!

A story about being named in Out magazine’s Hot 100 List.

And how I handled it.

Badly.

The absolutely weird, true story of Ghost Stories, a show hailed as the best dub ever produced and one that spawned an entire genre of anime.
